The New Albigensian Heresy

By |2020-11-19T01:43:14+00:00November 19th, 2020|Theology|

Convert to the Catholic faith, H.W. Crocker, somehow managed to fit 2,000 years of Catholicism into his 500 page book called Triumph. Having read it for the second time earlier this year, I noticed the behavior of one group of murderous medieval heretics appears to be the same as an American political party today. Let's first consider Crocker's description of the Albigensian heretics of the 13th century: "The roots of the heresy lay in the East. Its pedigree included, historically, the Arians and especially the Manicheans. More immediately, it was influenced by the iconoclastic Paulicians, exiled from Byzantium; the violent Bogomils of Bulgaria (from which we get the useful word [...]

Catholic Civil Attorney On Ballot Harvesting

By |2020-11-05T23:45:15+00:00November 5th, 2020|Theology|

A Catholic civil attorney with whom I went to high school wrote this: Dear Father Nix, In light of the current events and controversies surrounding the current presidential election, I wanted to take this opportunity to briefly share with you my experiences with mail ballot voting. In my roll as a civil attorney, I have represented several parties who challenged elections due to irregularities with voting by mail ballot. These experiences have allowed me to gain some knowledge about voting by mail ballot and the numerous problems that go along with such a scheme. It’s interesting to note that it is usually the Democrat Party that has pushed the voting [...]

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Margaret Sanger and Hillary Clinton in March 2009

By |2020-11-01T05:51:53+00:00October 31st, 2020|Theology|

On Thursday, the 26th of March 2009, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, Mexico.  The above framed image (on the left) of Mary, the mother of Jesus, was miraculously imprinted by heaven upon the tilma of St. Juan Diego, a 16th century saint in Mexico.  According to a Catholic News Agency (CNA) article Hillary Clinton asked the rector of the Basilica, Msgr. Monroy (in the above picture) "Who painted it?"  He responded, "God."  Hillary Clinton seems to have laughed. (See video at end of blog post.) On Friday, the 27th of March, 2009, the very next day, Hilary Clinton then [...]

A Catholic Layman’s Prediction for Election Week

By |2020-10-29T23:10:01+00:00October 29th, 2020|Theology|

Today, a layman informally texted me his predictions for election week.  He certainly did not mean the following as prophetic, but I thought it read as so plausible and accurate that I asked him for permission to publish, and he agreed:  - Votes counted by evening of the election show Trump wins in a landslide. - Day after Trump declares victory late night / early morning. - Mainstream media (MSM) issues pre-written press releases condemning Trump for declaring victory since “all votes aren’t counted” - MSM articles have overt statements that Trump is a dictator and must be stopped. - Rioting starts in DC, NYC, Minneapolis and LA day after [...]

The French Revolution and the American-Catholic Today

By |2020-09-07T19:13:55+00:00September 7th, 2020|Theology|

Art by Gloria Thomas. I'm 98% sure my history text book in Catholic grade school portrayed the French Revolution as a good thing. We learned the aristocrats were against “fraternity, equality and liberty" and that is apparently all we needed to know as 7th graders in a Catholic grade school in Denver.  But the reality is that the French Revolution was a mass martyrdom of Catholics. Though done in the name of dis-empowering aristocrats (only 30 of the 1400 executed in the initial “Terror” in Paris were aristocrats) this bloody revolution was nothing short of a revolt against God and an overturning of all social order. There is a Catholic [...]

Earthly Things Part 2: The Days of Lawlessness

By |2020-07-05T01:48:00+00:00July 5th, 2020|Theology|

Many prayerful Catholics have been noticing that much of 2 Thessalonians 2 seems to be materializing over the past few years. In fact, it seems prophesies from the Old Testament are being fulfilled. One older friend of mine who is a covert from evangelical Protestant to Catholic believes the "abomination of desolation" (Dan 9:27 and Mt 24:15) was the placement of the Martin Luther statute into the Vatican in October of 2016 (nearly four years ago): Consider also how a priest friend of mine recently pointed out that 2 Thess 2:10 asserts that a group of people during a global "rebellion" will "refuse to love the truth and so be [...]

Earthly Things: Part 1

By |2020-06-30T22:52:36+00:00June 30th, 2020|Theology|

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oz8wXNUdMO8 Consider four current issues of "debated" truth: 1) In the above video, Sean Hannity names numerous racist things that Joe Biden said starting at minute 3:30.  This includes terms like "racial jungle" and "predators on our streets."  Biden even describes South Asians as having a "slight Indian Accent..at 7-11 or Dunkin' Donuts."  This is not to mention Biden's newest goof of telling a black radio host that unless he vote for him, "You ain't black."  Of course, President Trump has never said anything remotely close to this racist (before or during his presidency. ) 2) In the below tweet, I mention a medical fact that many young women in first [...]

The KKK at Regis University

By |2020-06-20T21:52:55+00:00June 20th, 2020|Podcasts, Sermons, Talks|

This podcast is about Catholics standing up for their rights when the mob arrives.  We look at Colorado's KKK and their 1924 stand against both Regis University and Denver's Catholic seminary, then called "St. Thomas," now called "St. John Vianney." A baptism conducted by California mission friars is shown in a sketch displayed at the Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala in San Diego July 27. This drawing is part of a collection of sketches depicting mission life by California artists A.B. Dodge and Alexander Harmer. (CNS photo/Nancy Wiechec) See SERRA-TIMELINE July 30, 2015. The toppling of the statue of Franciscan missionary Junipero Serra in San Francisco [...]
