I received the below description from a Catholic family moving out of Portland, Oregon to go to another part of the country. Their move is due to what they call "communism." Before publication, I forwarded it to another friend (who also recently moved away from Portland) asking her if the below is an exaggeration. She said no. I post it with the family's permission; I changed their names for safety. === We turn off phones before leaving the house if attending a larger gathering. Not airplane mode… really off. Andy says they track clusters. They can also tell if you are social distancing with your phone. Airplane mode still pings. [...]

In real life, I have known more people catch coronavirus the past three weeks than anytime since March 2020. One of these includes a traditional priest who was hospitalized due to the virus. Another was a young father of several children who was almost intubated due to COVID-19. So I admit this new "surge" is real. Yet I am still more wary of the vaccine than the virus. Here is three new pieces of information this week alone: 1) Fertility Problems For Men. In this video I already reported on the UK government's warnings against women's fertility in taking the COVID-19 jab. Now, the University of Miami reports a warning against [...]
The scapular is found in the featured image above. It is a garment dedicated to Mary and worn around the neck by Catholics through the centuries. Those who wear it are promised two major things, known as the Sabbatine Privilege: No hell. "The Blessed Virgin of Mt. Carmel has promised to save those who wear the scapular from the fires of hell."—Scapular insert Reduced Purgatory. "I, the Mother of Grace, shall descend on the Saturday after their death and whomsoever I shall find in Purgatory, I shall free, so that I may lead them to the holy mountain of life everlasting."—Mary, the Mother of God. As we Catholics believe one [...]
This is a live meditation I gave 10 years ago during the first year of my priesthood serving the students of the University of Colorado. I have now recycled it into a VLX podcast for your own meditation from home or on-the-go. https://youtu.be/h1vPik0nfks
St. Philip Neri used the ripped up pieces of his diploma as ribbons in his Roman Breviary. That is how much worldly-honors meant to him! However, his friend St. Ignatius of Loyola was much more astute in answering questions against his character. Alas, I am going to take St. Ignatius' approach in this blog post. Recently, a young woman on Twitter publicly tweeted to me: "Did you really go to BC? Which year did you graduate?" I answered her with a picture of my diploma. Now, it turns out she was very friendly to me, but I think many people out there wonder how I could have have been the [...]

Why a “society of emasculated liars” made it possible for the errors of Russia to spread so quickly, and what you can do about it. Our Lady of Fatima spoke of the “errors of Russia” in 1917. https://youtu.be/uXSgM0JPUhU
In Mt 8:5-13 today, we see that to be a true leader, one must be a real follower…a follower of Christ. https://youtu.be/gsSH4fi5Zyc
