FBI Arrests My Friends After Discovering They Found Full-Term Murdered Babies

By |2022-04-03T19:18:45+00:00April 1st, 2022|Theology|

I just wrote in the Life Section of my blog about my friends in the pro-life movement who were taken with drawn guns by the FBI for a peaceful sit-in (aka "rescue") at an abortion center in Washington DC in 2020 where they were arrested.  But as these events of late March 2022 have now exploded into mainstream media, I'm putting an updated story on my front page here. https://youtu.be/erIQTJ0dZWI The above footage on YouTube is from an FBI raid against pro-lifers just a couple days ago (March 2022.)  But if the pro-life rescue (sit-in) took place in 2020, why did the FBI wait until 2022 to raid their homes? An Aborted Baby Saved by a Paramedic

By |2022-03-29T17:02:22+00:00March 31st, 2022|Theology|

This is a guest post written by a firemedic and father of a young man I met this year in Arizona who reads this blog. I am a retired captain for the Tucson Fire Department but before this I was a paramedic. It was during this time that I worked one of the most memorable and life changing moments of my career. The incident was on Friday, Sept. 21, 1990. Being my 29th birthday, I'll never forget the most unusual gift I have ever received from The Lord who truly works in mysterious ways. That Friday I arrived to work at Station 10 in the late afternoon. Our shift are [...]

Exceptions to Being Pro-Life?

By |2021-12-12T15:54:09+00:00December 12th, 2021|Theology|

Even in high school, long before my conversion to traditional Catholicism, I was pro-life.  I remember one guy from my high-school with whom I would work in the soup-kitchen in downtown Denver.  He was part of the young Republican club and he told me that he was "pro-life except in cases of rape and incest."  Even back then, before I had studied the defense of the pro-life position, I knew that a child should not have to pay for her life for the crime of her father.  I knew he was wrong.  If the unborn baby were human, then murder could never be justified based on any crime that led [...]

Thoughts on “The Restrainer”

By |2021-11-07T14:29:54+00:00November 9th, 2021|Theology|

And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of His mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and [...]

The Great Ones Part 2 of 3

By |2021-10-23T20:56:03+00:00October 26th, 2021|Theology|

Above top left is my friend, Msgr. Philip J. Reilly, a priest of the diocese of Brooklyn who has saved tens of thousands of babies from abortion.  Above top right is a man who he helped convert, Dr. Bernard Nathanson MD who killed 75,000 babies before being baptized a Catholic.  The good news of the blog post will eventually get to these two men. But first, I want to admit that I was going to write a blog post on these two men.  The top left (second set of pictures) is Nazi doctor, Josef Mengele. Wikipedia says of him that he was "known as the Angel of Death (German: Todesengel), [...]

Does Excommunicating Pro-Abortion Politicians Do Anything?

By |2021-10-11T03:46:45+00:00October 10th, 2021|Theology|

The new Code of Canon Law in Can. 1398 explains that anyone who "procures" an abortion is automatically (latæ sententiæ) excommunicated.  That is, anyone who participates in an abortion (mother, father, driver, doctor, nurse, etc.) is excommunicated by the very act of abortion (without a need of a penal declaration from a bishop.)  Hence, it was automatic.  Now, there is some debate if a pro-abortion politician who publicly promotes abortion is also ex-communicated automatically, for Canon 1329 speaks of circumstances "where a number of persons conspire together to commit an offense." Either way, the local bishop is required to publicly state the excommunication of a pro-abortion politician for the sake [...]

Red Rose Rescue: Why We Rescue

By |2021-09-09T15:19:30+00:00September 9th, 2021|Theology|

I asked my friend Will Goodman (seen above) why we joined a group called Red Rose Rescue (RRR).  RRR is a rescue arm of the pro-life movement today.  Will Goodman (with whom I have been arrested for peaceful prayer inside of abortion centers) wrote the following about why we do RRR:Red Rose Rescue is a national coalition of pro-lifers committed to rescuing Moms and babies from the murderous violence of prenatal homicide. This is why we rescue. Obedience. Almighty God gives us a Commandment in the Book of Proverbs: “Rescue those being taken to death, and spare those drawn towards slaughter.” (PRV 23:11) This is not a suggestion. It is [...]

Excommunicated After Abortion?

By |2021-06-20T18:58:30+00:00June 18th, 2021|Theology|

This blog is a reference to this video and this podcast released the same day. Since Apostolic days (1 Jn 5:17) the Catholic Church has delineated between venial sin and mortal sin.  In the category of mortal sin, there are four sins that cry to heaven for vengeance.  A small percentage of mortal sins also carry the weight of ex-communication (being cut off from the Church.)  Canonically speaking, latae sententiae (automatic) excommunications are divided into “reserved” and “unreserved.” The former are reserved to the Apostolic Penitentiary, while the unreserved (e.g. elective abortion) are under the jurisdiction of the local ordinary.    Some canonists say a person must know he is doing an ex-communicable [...]

TCE 22: Lifting of Excommunication After Abortion

By |2021-06-18T16:39:44+00:00June 18th, 2021|Podcasts, Sermons, Talks|

Theology and Current Events 22 is on various types of excommunication.  It also delves into how and why a priest can lift the excommunication incurred by abortion, but not other reserved sins. LATIN ABSOLUTION: "Misereatur tui omnipotens Deus, et, dimissis peccatis tuis perducat te ad vitam aeternam. Amen. Indulgentiam, absolutionem, et remissionem peccatorum tuorum, tribuat tibi omnipotens et misericors Dominus. Amen. Dominus noster Jesus Christus te absolvat: et ego auctoritate ipsius te absolvo ab omni vinculo excommunicationis, suspensionis, et interdicti, in quantum possum, et tu indiges. Deinde ego te absolvo a peccatis tuis, in nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen." ENGLISH ABSOLUTION: "God, the Father of mercies, through [...]
