Is the Eucharist a “Prize For the Perfect”?

By |2024-03-05T05:30:51+00:00March 7th, 2024|Theology|

Many modernist-heretics since the 1970s have purposefully conflated the requirement to receive Holy Communion in a state of grace with the notion of receiving Holy Communion in a state of perfection.  This is purposeful and diabolical ambiguity.  The Bible and the Catholic Church have always taught that one must receive Holy Communion in "a state of grace."  One need not be in a "state of perfection" (normally seen as the unitive stage of prayer, or the religious state or the state of being a bishop) to receive Holy Communion. In light of the above purposeful-conflation, modernist heretics since the 1970s have often said things like "The Eucharist is not a [...]

Who Gave Priests the Right To Defend Traditional Catholicism?

By |2024-03-05T15:27:06+00:00March 5th, 2024|Theology|

Anyone who tries to phone me knows that my device is in "airplane mode" about ¾ of the day and then in "moon mode" the other ¼ of the day.  This isn't to be rude, but because a traditional priest has several hours of prayer a day.  Due to this (and not having a community with whom to share various duties) my only time for "reading" is while washing dishes or cleaning my hermitage or running to the hospital for extreme unction.  Thus, I listen to pre-downloaded audio-books or podcasts or Rosaries on airplane-mode much of the day while not in prayer or writing.  My goal is to then turn [...]

The Scarcity Principal on the Deposit of the Faith

By |2024-03-04T02:22:18+00:00February 29th, 2024|Theology|

Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the Precious Blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.—1 Pt 1:18-19. The above quote from Sacred Scripture shows that the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ is objectively of infinite value to our salvation from sin, death, hell and demons.  But many Catholics today subjectively take the shed-blood of Jesus for granted.  As I have written before, a diocesan bishop once admitted to me that 80% of the Catholics in his Archdiocese received Holy Communion in a state of mortal sin [...]

Christ’s Revelation Is Built Upon Natural Law

Top-left: St. Thomas Aquinas.  Top-right: Person at  funeral for trans.-person at St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC, p/c Time Magazine. Recently, someone asked me about the Catholic Church's teaching on "transgenderism." Before we get to theology, we must realize that certain members of society identify as "transvestite." Transvestite means "one who has changed clothes."  It is obviously possible to change your clothes, whether this be for ordered reasons (like a certain male-martyr described in the ancient Roman Martyrology who dressed up as a woman to save a Christian woman in a Roman prison in order to replace her) or for disordered reasons, like a man erroneously believing he is a woman. Moving the Overton-Window on “Schism”

By |2024-08-31T03:36:08+00:00February 13th, 2024|Theology|

Above:  Reconstruction of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, p/c S. Meyssonnier at Reuters. The Overton Window is what a group thinks to be believable in the eyes of others in its attempts to grow their faction in numbers.  The left uses the Overton Window to determine which lies they can get away with as they approach the left-of-center in a bell-curve of opinion polls.  The right also uses the Overton Window, but they use it to determine which aspects of the truth can be digested by the lukewarm on the right of the same bellcurve.  Fiducia Supplicans greatly shifted the leftists' Overton Window on heresy to the point that even [...]

Fatima and Fiducia

By |2024-02-05T23:58:09+00:00February 6th, 2024|Theology|

Recently, Fr. James Martin SJ spoke to the bishops of Ireland at Knock, Ireland.  Our Lady of Knock (top right) is an approved Marian apparition in Ireland from the 19th century.   LifeSite News reported on what happened with the Irish bishops: "A trusted source in Ireland told LifeSiteNews that the meeting included discussions on how to implement the blessing of homosexual 'couples' and even the desire to implement homosexual 'marriage.'" Obviously, it's a blasphemous travesty that such filth from a Jesuit and the Irish bishops would besmirch the Shrine of Our Lady to an island that held once purity so intensely. I suppose this purity left Ireland a long time [...]

Stockholm Syndrome in the Catholic Church

By |2024-02-01T19:36:29+00:00February 1st, 2024|Theology|

The prophesy of St. Francis of Assisi reads: “At the time of this tribulation a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavour to draw many into error and death... Some preachers will keep silent about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them, not a true Pastor, but a destroyer.” —Works of the Seraphic Father St. Francis of Assisi, published in 1882 by the London-based Catholic publishing house R. Washbourne, 1882, [...]

May Catholics Pray With Non-Catholics?

By |2024-03-27T02:12:14+00:00January 30th, 2024|Theology|

In the old moral manuals, Catholics could occasionally pray with Protestants in private environments as long as these requirements were met: "It is not forbidden to pray or sing privately with heretics if the prayers or songs are not heretical and no scandal is given.”—Moral Theology #125 by Fr. Heribut Jone, OFM Cap, 1929. However, Catholics doing public or liturgical prayer with Protestants or other heretics has always been strictly forbidden. See the Anglican Vespers which took place at St. Peter's, p/c LifeSite News.  The prohibition against Catholics praying publicly with heretics or infidels has been clearly outlined by Popes and Saints for nearly 2,000 years: “The Apostolic See has [...]

St. Maximilian Kolbe Rejected “Ecumenism.”

By |2024-01-25T13:34:48+00:00January 25th, 2024|Theology|

In 2022, I wrote in an article titled Ecumenical: Old and New Definitions and it included these two definitions: "Ecumenical for the first thousand years of Christianity was an adjective to describe dogmatic meetings of orthodox bishops who cared about accurately defining the Catholic Faith," and New Advent's definition: "Ecumenical Councils are those to which the bishops, and others entitled to vote, are convoked from the whole world (oikoumene) under the presidency of the pope or his legates, and the decrees of which, having received papal confirmation, bind all Christians.'" Unfortunately, the term "ecumenism" has been commandeered in the 20th century by "progressive Catholics" to mean what was once called "the [...]

Despair and False-Hope Kill the Soul

By |2024-01-19T10:40:19+00:00January 18th, 2024|Theology|

A public apostate recently stated, "This isn't dogma, just my thought. I like to think of hell as being empty. I hope it is." Many others online repeated the sentiment. But they're wrong. First of all, it's infallible dogma that not just demons, but men and women are in hell. The Council of Trent states in chapter 3 in the Decree on Justification: “But, though [Christ] died for all, yet all do not receive the benefit of His death, but those only unto whom the merit of His passion is communicated.” Let's also look at why it's not more hopeful to think of an empty-hell. First of all, St. Augustine [...]
