Flying Kites on Clean Monday
An author at The Greek Reporter writes: "For Greek Orthodox Christians, Clean Monday marks the beginning of the 40-day fast before Easter; tradition dictates that the faithful start abstaining from eating animal products and fly a kite. Clean Monday is a cleansing of the body in preparation for the holiest period of Greek Orthodoxy and the flying of a kite is an effort to reach the Divine. Having your gaze fixed in the sky for as long as the kite flies is spiritual and mental elevation." That last line might sound a little hokey, but deeper is something a Russian Orthodox priest texted me at this time last year: "We [...]
RIP: COVID-Vaccine Deaths in Colorado
I'm on a group text with a couple dads here in Colorado. One of them is a firefighter/paramedic in the same area in which I grew up. He texted on the group text yesterday: Also, I guy I work with who’s wife is a firefighter with [Town-X] fire and a medic, just told me that two shifts (out of three) have had 6 cardiac arrests, in the past 48 hours, of patients over 70 who have all had their second Covid shot within 12-24 hours of them going into cardiac arrest. That’s insanely abnormal, to put it mildly. And my buddy’s wife believes in, and has already received, the [...]
Trudeau: You Must “Quarantine in Designated Government Facilities.”
On Monday this week (22nd of February 2021) Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, tweeted the above two tweets. Notice that for Canadian travelers who test negative for COVID-19: You have to quarantine at home. Then, notice that for Canadian travelers who test positive for COVID-19: "You'll be required to immediately quarantine in designated government facilities." So the COVID-positive and the COVID-negative both have to quarantine now? Canada is now approaching a fully totalitarian state. However, this time it is not under the pretense of national economics (like Russia and China in the 20th century) but rather under the pretense of national health. Then put into the mix [...]
Scrupulous Conscience vs. Sensitive Conscience
Imagine if St. Francis of Assisi were alive today. Imagine he walked into an average Catholic Church and confessed his sins. I fear the average priest would laugh at him and call him "scrupulous." But this would be a big mistake. A man's venial sins are a big deal in the eyes of God, and while no priest should be hard on people for their venial sins (nor mortal sins except extremely rare occasions) a priest should believe a penitent's accusations against herself. (A penitent is the person confessing her sins and the confessor is the priest hearing penitents' confessions, usually in a confessional box.) A priest should never [...]
I Called It: Gates now claims, “Third shot may be needed to combat new coronavirus variants.”
I was blessed to be asked to present as a distanced-speaker at the Health Freedom Summit with JP Sears and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Because I did not have time to put together an original presentation, they used this video presentation I gave back in 2020: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXSgM0JPUhU In this 2020 video, I described a scenario of how and why the technocratic communists' promoting this health-communism theatre would use a cycle of virus—vaccine—new-virus—new-vaccine, ad infinitum, to maintain social-control over us. I, along with many others, were quickly labeled as "conspiracy theorists." Now, in 2021, even Bill Gates seems bent on vindicating me, (as well as everyone else who participated in the Health Summit Freedom). This [...]
Lebensraum and Climate-Change
Lebensraum was Hitler’s assertion that the German people needed more land in which they could live and breathe, and this would be accomplished by annexing certain nations found to the East of Germany. Lebensraum literally means “living space.” In fact, the notion of lebensraum was found long before World War II, for Hitler coined it in his Mein Kampf first edition (1925) and in the second edition (1928) in which Hitler wrote: And so, we National Socialists consciously draw a line beneath the foreign policy tendency of our pre–War period. We take up where we broke off six hundred years ago. We stop the endless German movement to the south [...]
Fatima, Portugal and Abortion
In 1917, towards the end of World War I, Mary (the Mother of God) appeared to three shepherd children (including the future Sr. Lucia) in the small town of Fatima, Portugal to speak of God's honor, the Rosary, the state of the Church, the state of Communism that was coming and heaven and hell. There were three secrets that had to do with: 1. A vision of souls in hell. 2. The Immaculate Heart of Mary and the annihilation of nations. 3. "In Portugal, the dogma of the faith will always be preserved, etc." That third secret was written down by Sr. Lucia later in her convent. Many people have [...]
A Thank You and Tax-Note to My Donors
Dearest Benefactors, Ave Maria! Thank you so much for your donations to me. As we approach tax season, please know that Peregrino Hermitage Ltd is a 501c3 non-profit. Its Federal tax ID is #83-4544433. For anyone who donated in 2020, you should be receiving an email from me on your total donations in 2020 very soon. If you don't, please email me at the email-address found on my donation page. According to my rule of life, I have been trying to pray a few hours a day and do online catechesis a few hours a day. This commitment (and lack of virtue) has delayed my responses to your snail-mail [...]
Real Union Within the Catholic Church
With all these accusations of "schismatic" and "conspiracy theorist" being hurled from normy Catholics to traditional Catholics, let's see what St. Thomas Aquinas has to say: “The sin of unbelief, which fundamentally severs a man from the unity of the Church, simply speaking, makes him to be utterly unfit for receiving this sacrament of the Eucharist because it is the sacrament of the Church's unity.”—St. Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologica 3.80.5ad2 This means that sins against the Deposit of the Faith unchanged from Apostolic times is more what separates a Catholic from worthiness to receive the Eucharist than fighting for reform within the hierarchy. (In fact, fighting for Church reform comes from [...]
Replacement Morality and Risk Aversion
One of the effects of Fatima's foreboding "errors of Russia" is women in the workplace, which is tantamount to feminism. Feminism has changed the landscape of Catholic morality not only in specific areas of sterilization, contraception and abortion, but also in general areas of morality. For example, it has flattened any transcendent morality into an imminent morality of paranoid risk aversion. (A woman acting feminine is not the same as acting effeminate, so don't even try to call this a "misogynistic" post.) Last week, I walked out of a semi-enclosed marketplace drinking a cup of coffee. Naturally, the mask was below my chin. As I was about to exit out [...]
