Not long ago, I wrote an article about why leftists promote the “errors of Russia.” The “errors of Russia” is obviously leftism, which Mary warned against at Fatima. In that article, I cite Jack Posobiec and Tucker Carlson, for they show that Marxism has killed 100 million people in the name of compassion. This has happened everywhere from Cambodia to Czechoslovakia. We also in the United States have been on the precipice of a communist coup for several decades, but we haven’t gone over the precipice. Why?
Many people will say “God.” Of course, I agree with this, as everything falls under Divine Providence. However, I believe that (besides China) the United States has become the most evil empire on the planet. (I was a huge patriot several years ago, so it pains me to write that.) Our country of the USA has pumped porn, sterilization, contraception and abortion across the entire globe. Do we not deserve the same fate as Hungary (who, by the way, is now fiercely turning on the errors of Russia which she once fell under.)
Furthermore, if we say “God has saved America from communism” in a glib manner, then does that mean God did not save Catholic countries like Poland or Cuba from communist dictators in the 20th century? Again, everything falls in God’s sovereignty—as in either His positive or permissive will. I am a priest, and I don’t want to extricate theology from politics at all. But we also have to consider not only supernatural forces, but also natural forces factor into why the United States has not fallen completely to a communist coup with so many leftists in power, albeit illegally obtained. The same goes for the Vatican.
Unlike Croatia in the 1980s, we in America in the 2020s have these two advantages: 1) Social media as a form of uniting resistance, and 2) The Second Amendment , as Marxists always do civilian-disarmament very early on in their bloody regimes so as to terminate serf-based resistance to their genocides, pogroms and gulags.
Regarding Social Media, first we must consider the liability. I admit that the internet is leading more people to hell than to heaven. I read once the majority of hits on the internet is porn. Thus, if you can eradicate any near occasions of sin, saving your soul is more important than tackling leftists on Twitter. But if you can fight the good fight, you should. The only reason (after a stolen election and a stolen Conclave) that conservative Christians are able to expose leftists and encourage other traditionalists thousands of miles away is… social media. Yes, there was media in Soviet Russia, but you know who controlled it. It’s the same type of people that control not only CNN, but even Fox News.
Regarding the Second Amendment, the United States has more personal weapons than citizens. (I believe the ratio is 1.2 guns for every American.) Last summer of 2023, Joe Biden mocked the Second Amendment as he bumbled semi-coherently: “You know, I love these guys who say the Second Amendment is — you know, the tree of liberty is water with the blood of patriots. Well, if want to do that, you want to work against the government, you need an F-16. You need something else than just an AR-15.”
Biden has a point: A rifle cannot take on a fighter jet.
But the left is also frustrated that his handlers’ plan for a full communist coup in this country has still failed. And it has failed precisely because F-16s cannot control all the ground forces of good fathers and brothers (and even women) willing to defend their families against would-be dictators like Barack Obama (who clearly despises the citizens of the United States of America) with AR-15s and lesser weapons. Biden’s words reveal exactly what stands against big government controlling every aspect of freedom of an American’s life: Law-abiding citizens who are armed.
Countries like Croatia (that fell to genocides under dictators like Tito in the 1980s) had a much higher percentage of good Catholics than the United States. Thus, we can’t say everything that happens in history is due to merit. While it’s true that God is the author of all of history, God also allows factors as seemingly-minimal as Twitter and Glocks to shape the course of history. Thus, my suggestions are two: 1) Take up space in defeating lies from the left on social media (or at least in your neighborhood by putting saint statues in your front yard if you wisely choose to stay off the internet) and 2) Don’t give up any firearms, for these may be needed to keep your families safe against a bloated government. This government has clearly proven they want all dead or in prison, even 89 year olds.
