I recently watched a documentary on the Roman Empire.  What struck me about episode one is how masculine the pagan world used to be.   Demons seemed to have known who was in charge of that society, namely, men, so the sins were particularly male-based from the very start of the city of Rome: Fratricide, rape of the Sabine women (See above) and then, of course, centuries of conquering other nations. At the beginning of episode one, the documentary host reads a tombstone from about the 4th century BC where a certain “Scipio” boasts of how many hostages he took as a warrior.

How did Christianity ever convert the Roman Empire? I read the Roman Martyrology almost every day, and it constantly employs the verbs “triumph” or “conquer” in a non-ironic sense. For instance, one martyr might “overcome” the flames of being burnt to death for Christ. How exactly did this “overcome” the early Roman Empire? This “overcoming” the flames specifically means in the Roman Martyrology that he or she refrained from denying Christ while being burnt to death. The martyrs lived in reflection of the Triumph of the Holy Cross of Jesus Christ, conquering not by violence but by their convictions of the Gospel. Their convictions overcame even the most exquisite tortures of the Roman Empire, to the point their religion was finally legalized in AD 313. The hard-nosed, flesh, Patriarchal Empire was conquered and converted by martyrs of both sexes acting virtuous (literally, manly) under torture.

But demons now seek to make a feminine culture even more feminine, just as they attempted to make the overly-masculine culture of the ancient Roman Empire more manly. Actually, big correction here: There was nothing “manly” about the first Romans raping the Sabine women, just as there is nothing “feminine” about all those nasty green-haired feminists of today. But my point is simply that demons know who has the power and how to influence them. I grew up hearing things like, “There would be less wars if there were female Presidents of countries.” And I actually believed that in the 1980s and maybe even the 1990s. But here we are now in the United States in 2023 in a very Matriarchal-society that has been found guilty of killing more children (through abortion) and mutilating more children (via “transgender” surgeries) than even hyper-masculine Viking cultures.

The solution at the natural level is to reject feminism, even “Catholic feminism.”  The notion of “Catholic feminism” is as silly as accepting a “Jezebel spirit” in a Catholic-manner.  Impossible.  I blame most of modern Western feminism on men.  Why?  Because they have not physically or spiritually led their families into Chrsitianity over the past 100 years.  Vicious women simply filled the vacuum of abusive or negligent men over the past century in the United States.

The solution at the supernatural level is a strong devotion to the Ever-Virgin Mary.   If the first martyrs (both men and women) overcame the combats of physical-torture in imitation of the Triumph of Christ on the cross, then perhaps the last martyrs may be the ones to overcome the spiritual-torture of being told their “crazy” or “conspiracy theorists” or “schismatic” or “disobedient” by the Triumph of Mary who is truly the “destroyer of all heresies.” If the Patriarchal Empire of Rome was conquered by those who followed Christ the King, our current Matriarchal Empire of the West may be conquered interiorly by only those who follow Mary Our Queen.  She, again, is the destroyer of all heresies.

This doesnt mean that Jesus is less important at this time of history than Mary.  Nor am I downplaying the fact that we have had more red martyrs the past 100 years than the last 19 centuries combined.  But here in the West with so many white martyrs (and so many red martyrs in the East) I see that Mary plays the most important role in salvation history at both the very beginning and at the very end. (This is not my teaching. It’s the teaching of St. Louis De Monfort that the “last Apostles” will be the most Marian of all of history.)  Uniting our sufferings over the majority of Catholics living in heresy or full-apostasy against Apostolic Catholicism (most following the misinformation of that Jezebel spirit for the sake of being a horizontal “bridge to the world”) may be the greatest internal offering we can give these days. Uniting our sufferings to the Seven Dolors of Mary over the Church crisis may be our hope for the final age in the Church where perhaps some people may still see through the deceit.  If so, we have to thank God for the Rosary.

The Rosary is the great magnifying glass (Magnificat Anima Mea) not only to discern Jesus who is the Truth, but also the Rosary seems to be the tool to discern the error and lies of this current age. Those who prayed the Rosary over the past five years were the least likely to take the death-jab, to wear the obedience-mask, to be fooled to think “synodality” could change the Gospel, to trust mainstream-media or to do anything they were told by “superiors” to do to destroy their body or soul.

St. Louis De Montfort wrote this at the beginning of the 18th century about the greatest saints preceding the final return of Christ:

Towards the end of the world … Almighty God and His holy Mother are to raise up saints who will surpass in holiness most other saints as much as the cedars of Lebanon tower above little shrubs.  These great souls filled with grace and zeal will be chosen to oppose the enemies of God who are raging on all sides. They will be exceptionally devoted to the Blessed Virgin. Illumined by her light, strengthened by her spirit, supported by her arms, sheltered under her protection, they will fight with one hand and build with the other.

With one hand they will give battle, overthrowing and crushing heretics and their heresies, schismatics and their schisms, idolaters and their idolatries, sinners and their wickedness. With the other hand they will build the temple of the true Solomon and the mystical city of God, namely, the Blessed Virgin. …

They will be like thunderclouds flying through the air at the slightest breath of the Holy Spirit.  Attached to nothing, surprised at nothing, they will shower down the rain of God’s word and of eternal life. They will thunder against sin; they will storm against the world; they will strike down the devil and his followers and for life and for death, they will pierce through and through with the two-edged sword of God’s word all those against whom they are sent by Almighty God.

They will be true apostles of the latter times to whom the Lord of Hosts will give eloquence and strength to work wonders and carry off glorious spoils from His enemies. They will sleep without gold or silver and, more important still, without concern in the midst of other priests, ecclesiastics and clerics. Yet they will have the silver wings of the dove enabling them to go wherever the Holy Spirit calls them, filled as they are, with the resolve to seek the glory of God and the salvation of souls. Wherever they preach, they will leave behind them nothing but the gold of love, which is the fulfillment of the whole law.

They will have the two-edged sword of the Word of God in their mouths and the bloodstained standard of the Cross on their shoulders. They will carry the crucifix in their right hand and the Rosary in their left, and the holy names of Jesus and Mary on their heart.  Mary scarcely appeared in the first coming of Christ. … But in the second coming of Jesus Christ, Mary must be known and openly revealed by the Holy Spirit so that Jesus may be known, loved and served through her.
