The new document was correct about one thing: There’s only ever been one Roman Rite.
We have a right to that Mass in justice, not in mercy. Stockholm syndrome moves the kidnapped between mercy and rigorism so when she receives a mercy, she is more likely to defend the rigorism. We have to get out of this cycle and say: "There's only even been one Roman Rite."
