There Is Only One Abrahamic Faith
There is only Abrahamic Faith, and that is Christianity—which is Catholicism. Remember that the Jews who reject Christ do claim, “Abraham is our father.” (John 8:39.) But Jesus immediately denies this assertion by saying: If you were Abraham's children, you would be doing the works Abraham did, but now you seek to kill Me, a Man Who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. You are doing the works your father did...You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires.—John 8:39-41, 44. Notice again that Christ Himself in Jn 8 says that the Jews who reject Him have not Abraham as their father, but rather have the devil as their father. Those are His words, not mine. The Holy Spirit wrote through the Apostle [...]

Love of the World
The word for "world" in Greek is cosmos or κόσμος. Jesus and St. John the Apostle seem to say contradictory things about loving "the world." Arguably, the most famous Bible passage of history is when Jesus says: For God so loved the world (κόσμον) that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.—John 3:16. However, this seems difficult to reconcile with what the Holy Spirit later says through St. John in one of his letters: Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.—1 John 2:15. We must ask: Are we to love the world or not? Most Catholics today say we are supposed to love the world since Jesus did. But then what do they [...]

Réddite Quæ Sunt Dei Deo
Sunday's TLM Gospel for the 22nd Sunday After Pentecost was just: Then the Pharisees going, consulted among themselves how to insnare Him in His speech. And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying: "Master, we know that Thou art a true speaker, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest Thou for any man: for Thou dost not regard the person of men. Tell us therefore what dost Thou think, is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?" But Jesus knowing their wickedness, said: "Why do you tempt Me, ye hypocrites? Shew Me the coin of the tribute." And they offered Him a penny. And Jesus saith to them: "Whose image and inscription is this?" They say to Him: "Caesar's." Then he saith to them: "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are [...]
Maria “Prius Concíperet Mente Quam Córpore.”
Prius concíperet mente quam córpore.—Pope St. Leo, First Sermon on the Nativity of the Lord (found in Matins of the old Divine Office on the Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 10 October) on how the Immaculate Virgin Mary first conceived in her mind, even before her body. The Mystery of the Incarnation is defined as the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity (God the Son) becoming man as Jesus Christ—a zygote in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mary is also known as the Mother of God and the Holy Theotokos. Obviously, Mary was not the formal cause of the Incarnation, but she did more than just say "Yes" at the Annunciation. Consider that St. Augustine holds that Mary "conceived Christ in her mind before she did in her womb" (Christum prius mente quam ventre concipiens Sermo [...]

Viganò’s Letter to the CDF on Inoculation Fallout
The following is Archbishop Vigano’s autumn 2022 letter to Cardinal Luis Ladaria Ferrer SJ, the Prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith on the Catholic Church's accountability regarding the damages of the COVID-19 vaccine. Notice in the following that the italicized word Note is a reference to a document, not just a “note" as we have in English. Also, this letter is originally found with the full letterhead here, but I reproduce it for the sake of ease of sharing without having pop-up ads (which my blog will hopefully never contain.) 18 October 2022 Your Eminence, Last year, on October 23, 2021, I wrote a letter to the President of the United States Bishops’ Conference, which was also sent to you, in which I expressed – as I have already done publicly – my very strong [...]
