This post is not about the morning-after pill or RU-486. Rather, it is about the much more common form of birth control, frequently referred to as “The Pill.” We will be looking at all forms of Hormonal Birth Control (HBC) and combined estrogen-progestin oral contraceptives (COC.) How does HBC and COC work?
WebMD explains the three methods in which most HBCs and COCs function: “Hormonal contraceptives (the pill, the patch, and the vaginal ring) all contain a small amount of estrogen and progestin hormones. These hormones inhibit your body’s natural hormones to prevent pregnancy in a few ways. Hormonal contraceptives usually stop the body from ovulating. They also change the cervical mucus to make it difficult for the sperm to go through the cervix and find an egg. They can also prevent pregnancy by changing the lining of the womb so it’s unlikely the fertilized egg will be implanted.”
WebMD‘s last sentence above is accurate insofar as it states the Pill prevents the embryo from implantation into the lining of the uterine wall, but WebMD is inaccurate insofar as they claim this ejection of a new embryo is to “prevent pregnancy.”
Obviously, it’s an active pregnancy if fertilization has already happened. Surely WebMD must know this?
The re-definition of pregnancy in their website is due to 20th century abortion-politics. Wikipedia explains: “In the past, pregnancy has been defined in terms of conception.” Later, it continues: “In 1959, Dr. Bent Boving suggested that the word ‘conception’ should be associated with the process of implantation instead of fertilization.” Due to the political influence of Boving and others, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) then began (from 1965 onwards) to define conception as “the implantation of a fertilized ovum.” A medical de-construction of the definition of conception as “implantation” was partly so that abortion could be legalized without moral import. Notice the year in the previous paragraph: 1965. This was to grease the skids for Roe vs. Wade.
Again, WebMD lies when it writes above: “[The Pill] can also prevent pregnancy by changing the lining of the womb so it’s unlikely the fertilized egg will be implanted.” Every honest geneticist knows that pregnancy begins with fertilization. Fertilization marks the beginning of a new individual with 46 unrepeatable chromosomes. All aspects of peri-natal development following that explosion of a unique life proceed in a sliding-scale development from that point onwards, including a heart-beat, all the way through wisdom-teeth as an adolescent. Fertilization is the only defining time of having a before-and-after point-in-time in the life of a new child. This simple biological fact means the Pill terminates a pregnancy before implantation of the embryo into the lining of the uterus. It is ejected into the toilet, and dies. This is abortion. This is murder. The Pill murders. And as I said in the first sentence of the blog, I’m not only talking about the morning-after-Pill (which obviously is 100% abortifacient.)
HBC and COC have three functions and one of them is abortifacient. Even WebMD admitted as much in the second paragraph above. That is obvious once you read past their lie that denies that fertilization begins pregnancy. Furthermore, there are many studies you can find in a short online search to prove that the Pill has caused strokes and pulmonary embolisms in countless women. LifeSite News has many such tragic stories here and here and here and here.
Now, let’s look at the numbers of these murders. Not even liberals reading this blog post would doubt that most child-bearing women in first and second world countries are on the Pill (as well as most urban third-world women.) In fact, liberals consider this a success. By an extremely conservative estimate, 1B (billion, as in 9 zeros) women are on the Pill (or other form of HBC like “the Patch”… It is probably closer to 2B, but we’ll assume 1B as a conservative estimate.) Of these 1B women on the Pill, probably each one of them experiences at least once a year a breakthrough ovulation during times of intercourse leading to a fertilized egg, which is an embryo that is never implanted for reasons explained in the first half of this blog post (quoting even secular medical sources.)
I suspect this happens much more than once a year for each child-bearing woman on the Pill across the globe, but let’s assume it only happens once a year per woman. And, again, let’s assume only 1B women in the world are on the Pill. (These are the most conservative estimates possible on both figures so I don’t get accused of exaggerating.) Now do the math of both above estimates: This means there globally one billion abortions a year due to the Pill. That means the entire population of North America and South America combined are eradicated every year by the Pill.
By the above conservative estimate, we can assume the Pill kills 1,000,000,000 people a year. That is one seventh of the world’s population.
This also means that your average Church-going Republican in the United States is killing almost as many babies as her Democrat-counterpart, for both of them are on the same abortifacient pill or patch. (The Democrat is just willing to kill surgically on top of her chemical abortions.) And then the Republican candidate has the audacity to wonder why it appears God isn’t on her side anymore. It’s because over 50% of “pro-life” Catholics and evangelicals in the pews of this country are killing their own babies by being on birth control.
